We then proceeded to venture outside of the capital city, and our next stop was the ancient port of Merca. The view of the Indian Ocean from here is nothing short of breathtaking.

We concluded our day by going to Bakara Market, the largest market in Somalia, and the most significant open-air market in East Africa. You can find anything from fresh produce, textiles, and handmade traditional jewelry to more modern items like electronics and clothing.
