Exploring the Mountains of Colorado! Summer Travel Vlog 2020

Located in the western United States, Colorado is renowned for its stunning landscapes and outdoor activities. The state boasts of its soaring mountain peaks, clear blue sky, blue rivers, green valleys, and endless outdoor recreation opportunities. Visitors can immerse themselves in the natural beauty and spectacular scenery that make Colorado a must-visit destination. In this article, we want to share our experience exploring the mountains of Colorado during the summer of 2020.

Our trip began at the Denver International Airport, where we rented an SUV and started driving towards Rocky Mountain National Park. We were amazed by the stunning views of the mountains, the tall pine trees, and the clear streams that lined the roads. We reached the park entrance, where we paid the entrance fee and checked out a map with the different hiking trails in the area.

Our first stop was the Emerald Lake Trail, a moderate 3.6-mile hike that leads to Emerald Lake. The trail was surrounded by towering peaks, lush forests, and cascading waterfalls. We encountered wildlife along the way, including deer and chipmunks. At the top of the trail, we were greeted by the breathtaking sight of Emerald Lake, a pristine body of water surrounded by towering cliffs and lush evergreens.

After completing the hike, we headed towards Estes Park, a charming mountain town situated at the base of Rocky Mountain National Park. Estes Park is known for its quaint downtown area filled with art galleries, restaurants, and shops. We stopped by the Stanley Hotel, a historic hotel that inspired Stephen King’s famous novel, The Shining. The Stanley features stunning architecture and a haunted history that piqued our interest.

Continuing on our adventure, we made our way towards Breckenridge, a picturesque mountain town famous for skiing in the winter months. During the summer, Breckenridge is popular for its challenging mountain bike trails, hiking routes, and spectacular scenery. We spent a day exploring the town, enjoying the sunshine and the fresh mountain air.

Our last stop was the town of Telluride, situated in Colorado’s southwestern corner. Telluride is one of Colorado’s hidden gems, with its stunning mountain peaks, dramatic valleys, and charming historic district. We checked out the free gondola that links the town to the Mountain Village, a modern ski resort. The gondola ride provided incredible views of the San Juan Mountains and the valleys below.

Our adventure exploring the mountains of Colorado was an unforgettable experience. We had the chance to immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of this state, enjoying the warm summer sun and the fresh mountain air. We recommend that you plan a visit to Colorado, discover its stunning scenery and national parks, and explore its charming mountain towns on your next summer vacation. Colorado is waiting for you!
